Guest guest
Hi Colin, What medication have you been advised to use her? I use Cocodamol. I have two strengths, both have 500mg paracetamol but one has 8mg codeine and the other 30mg codeine. They are effervescent. I take whatever I need at the time. However, I know this is not strong enough medication for many patients. I happen to know patients who take Tramadol or pethidine. I can't help you much personally on this one. I would think it would be a question of pursuing this with the specialist, possibly liaising with a pain management doc. It is important to get the correct medication. A pancreas specialist should be well aware of the pain involved. Are you sure we don't have Vicodin by the way? It isn't just a different trade name? Obviously I don't know; you may well be right. If you contact Tony Crispin, the British PAI rep, he should be able to tell you more. His addy is crispin@... He is a retired nurse and has CP himself. I know he'll be helpful. With good wishes, Fliss (UK)
