Guest guest
My three year old daughter has been on the SCD diet for over a year. Recently, she has had two episodes of serious ketotic hypoglycemia (39 and 36 blood glucose). The doctors are saying we need to put her on a higher carbohydrate diet but the SCD diet has been really helpful for her development. Does anyone have any experience with this and have any suggestions including a nutritionist who has some experience with hypoglycemia and SCD (we are in San Francisco but could do a phone consultation), or any ideas of higher carbohydrate foods that are SCD legal that we should try. Or things we could try that are not SCD legal but not as bad as some? We are really at a loss for what to do.
