Guest guest
Well, we went to the GI doctor this morning. He reviewed the films and the reports ( CT and Ab X Rays )I brought along from 2 weeks ago. He stated there is considerably more calcification in the pancreas compared to last year. Unbeknowns to me, he had already spoken to the transplant surgeon before we arrived today. The surgeon agrees we should do this is two steps. First, on Mon 6/14 ( my birthday ),,, she's going to Good Samaritan Hospital for an ERCP. If he finds there are areas he can " snip and cut " ( those are his words) he will do what's necessary at that time. After some period of time if her condition does not improve, the transplant surgeon, ( Dr. Lawrence Koep ) of Phoenix is willing to take out part of or all of the pancreas. Dr. Koep did her Transduodenal Sphincteroplasty back in 2000 and knows her case very well. We're excited that things are moving along, especially the fact that the surgeon agrees as a last resort, it should be removed. Plus the fact that this surgeon accepts in full my medical coverage, phew. So for now, things are looking up,,,, we'll see what happens on the 14th. Doc.
