Guest guest
Percy, CRPS is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. My Mom has it after she was struck by a truck while crossing a parking lot (she was on foot and was thrown up on the hood and then onto the pavement-thanks to NC's odd laws, the driver of the truck was not charged and cannot be sued!) Here is a link which may be helpful: http://www.podiatrychannel.com/rsd/ I haven't had septic shock yet, but my cousin has had it something like seven times so far. Like yours, hers sneaks up on her. Her most dramatic complication was a blood clot to the brain (the bacteria make clumps and encourage clot formation) which required emergency brain surgery! She's fine now, but pays a lot of attention to low grade fevers, as you can imagine. Its pretty scary when she has these episodes-Her temp will just zip up to 106 and she'll go into convulsions and need to be immediately placed on one of those cooling beds, and agressive treatment started.Scares the c**p out of us.
