Hi Glenda, Yes, the Remicade did come in, but they

informed me that there is a nation-wide shortage.

From now on I have to call in two days before my appt

and make sure they have it.

When I got on-line this evening, my sister had sent me

some information about a class action suit in the

works against Remicade, Enbrel, and Arava. Gee! I've

been on all three. I knew about all the stuff on

Remicade except for the fact that it seems to be

causing heart failure. That is a bit disconcerting.

Hope every one is well and that all the moms and

grandmoms have a wonderful day on Sunday.

Love, squeek

=====

Sharon, there is a reason there is a shortage! The makers of Enbrel

can no longer keep up with the demand. They are now building a larger

facility to mgf the drug to make more. Also as for now the only

people that can get Enbrel are those who were on it in the past.

Please do not slam me for this but it is the truth! There are some

VERY serious side effects that can occure with Enbrel, one of which

is it causes ANA positive and in time our bodies become immune to the

Enbrel causing it to no longer work. I was a ginnie pig with Enbrel

for well over a year and it does work VERY WELL for joint pain but

thats about it. If you have anymore questions please just ask away.

Also if you are prone to infections YOU CAN NOT TAKE IT! It can kill

you. So before you start it ask MANY questions and do your own

reserch on the drug.

Did you see or hear about the class action suits about

Enbrel, Arava, and Remicade? I did not read about the

one against Enbrel because I am no longer on that, but

the one on Remicade was pretty scary. I agree about

Enbrel. It helped my joint pain a lot, but never did

anything for the RP. I think Remicade is doing the

same thing. I am on a whopping dose, every four weeks

instead of the recommeded eight weeks, and it does

help with the joint pain, but not completely. The RP

seems to just be marching to the beat of its own

drummer at this point. I see my rheumy next week and

we are going to have a serious discussion about me

staying on Remicade. I don't like it amd definitely

do not feel that it is worth the over $4,000 per month

that our ins. is paying for it.
