Guest guest
Hi Chrissy, I hope you're making gradual progress but I think it's bound to be slow. You had very major surgery and it's still early days. Is the food situation just a little better? You always said you wanted to lose a little weight but now I'm sure you want to be able to eat. Hopefully the CT scan showed that all is as it should be. How is the family responding to Mom at home again?! Glad the cards arrived! They were meant to arrive while you were in hospital!! I'll send some more snail mail. Wouldn't it be great to have the jacuzzi on prescription??!! I love the hot spa at the gym....not that I go that often. It does relieve the feet as does even an ordinary hot bath at home. I've known for years there was something not quite right nerve-wise in the feet but I've never investigated it before. I had all those blood tests this morning so I should know results in a few days. If I have a B12 deficiency, I wonder if the injections will halt further damage or help the current situation? I expect it will only prevent further damage? I can't wear my usual shoes either....I'm living in roomy flat shoes or trainers (when not in school). So there we are....no alcohol, no really nice food and now no pretty shoes either!! As I sip my tonic and nibble my cottage cheese(no wine and brie for me), whilst wearing clodhopping boots (throw those high heels away!), I wonder who invented this pancreatitis anyway??!! My GTT showed continued impaired glucose tolerance, slightly worse than last time (but it has fluctuated slightly in the past) but not diabetes as such. I'll have to keep testing. Chrissy, get well soon but DON'T overdo things in your hurry. It will come! Love, Fliss
