Guest guest
A motorcycle helmet would be much more robust but for that reason can also be much more bulky and heavier. As to which would be the better choice, that depends on what kind of situation you might use it in. Quote of the nanosecond... " If you prick me, do I not... leak? Guest guest
exactly, I'm not going to change it on a regular basis, I leave my volume at 4 all the time. Shouldn't the audis look atsensitivity in a more personal way - everyone is different, you know what I mean. My friend up here was put on 6, why? He lowered it to 4. Why is the recommendation 12 . 10 is right down the middle if the highest is20. helmet >A mother put a bike helmet on her small son's head when a tornado struck > Joplin, & while huddled in the tub their toilet bounced onto the boy's > helmet, saving his life. Guest guest
Trish, I would not concern myself with this as far as other people go. Everything around us has an average, but it does not mean we must stick to it. Over the years, Cochlear has found that *most* people use the 12 setting and thus its an average but you are free to go uo or down. 12 is just a starting point tho you may well leave it there too. So get the processor unlocked and then find the setting you like the most but give it time to allow the brain to adapt. If you do well at a lower setting, by all means, stay there. Some people, myself included, like to lower the sensitivity for comfort. But... That is not real life. If you find yourself struggling with too low a sens setting, unable to find the balance between background noise and ability to comprehend speech, you need to go higher. Quote of the nanosecond...
