Guest guest
Hey Dawn, You can email me and ask specific questions. I am fourteen weeks post op. I had no complications, but I have had severe nausea and vomiting. I was on a soft/liquid diet for the first eleven or twelve weeks. I was placed on an estrogen patch to control the nausea. Several of us on the list are on the patch. It seemed to help. My dosage has been titrated and I am on a higher dose now. I am queasy right now. I can't eat the way most post ops do. Even though I hardly ever vomit now, most foods don't agree with me. My diet is mainly vegetarian by default. I can't tolerate fat, white starches, or meat. I can tolerate sugar, but I am not really a sweets person. My labs are good even though I can't eat as much as I should. My weight loss falls in the average category I would probably lose more if I could take in more. Despite my food problems, I would have the surgery again and again. But, I do hope that my nausea will totally resolve soon. le 14 weeks post op 272/224/124 48 pound loss at twelve weeks
