Guest guest
Hi Everyone :-) I know some of you guys have had to undergo surgeries while dealing with RP and I hope to glean some of your experiences. I remember a discussion about the tracheal tubes that are used during surgeries (BTW, are they used for every surgery??) and some people suggested that we ask the doctor to use a smaller sized tube, like a pediatric one because it won't irritate the trachea as much. I have to have a hysterectomy on June 18....mostly because of my cough for the past 6 years, I've basically coughed my uterus out! (sorry guys, I know some people don't like to talk about these things...) I mostly worry about the cough, which I still have to some degree...will I cough during surgery? I imagine it will hurt like * & ^%^%^ & to cough after the surgery....will I be able to clear my lungs? Questions, questions.... Looking forward to input on this one :-) Sending lots of hugs to everyone, Connie H
