Guest guest
Hi Chrissy and everyone else, I've had 3 full days back in Australia now, and it's good to be back, although, I do feel as if I am just a visitor. It doesn't feel like home to me anymore (which pleases my hubby *L*). Chrissy, I did call him this morning and told him that he'd have to move out here for the next year because it would take me that long to work my way through all the new foods on the supermarket shelves *LOL*...I will be stuffing my suitcases full of what I can take. was an absolute angel on the long flights. She never complained once. And she got a full 8 hours sleep on the LA to Sydney leg which was good. I only got a couple of hours in, but I can't sleep in cramped conditions. She's ready to go on another plane already...I'm supposed to be flying back to Sydney for a weekend to catch up with other relatives there, but I really don't want to get on another plane until I absolutely have to grrrrrr And I will be getting behind the wheel today to see if I can remember how to drive the Aussie way *L*..can't really afford to crash my mum's car *L* I'm having a time trying to get someone to flush my port..a real pain in the butt. Doctor says his clinic don't stock heparin, so need to call back to TN to find out the average dosage they use..i'm guessing it's the 5000..in 5cc strength, and then purchase it from the pharmacy, else I can get it done at the ER but that will mean a huge wait if it's full, especially as it's a long weekend and they say it is always busy during and after a public holiday. We're off to the beachside resort area today where the atmosphere is just wonderful..al fresco dining, smells of coffee in the air, lots of shopping, rides for the kids, and a nice long walk on the jetty...you have to remember I haven't seen the ocean in 5 years, so I might even drink some sea water to remind me *LOL*..just kidding..ughhhhh...that is the worst getting sea water up the nose or down the throat. Didn't have any pain worth mentioning on the flights, and my ankles that were so swollen for the past 5 years in the states have gone back to their slender look as they were before I left Australia...proves to me it must be the change in southern & northern hemispheres. Take care and will check in again soon,
