Guest guest
Hi everyone, I just thought I would share my excitement with the list. I saw my PCP on Wednesday and he is supporting me for having a revision done. He has even refered me to an orthopedic specialist like Dr.R wanted me to see. I've written to Debbie about what I have to do as things have really changed since I had my original MGB on 8/2/99. I'm almost as excited as I was when I found out I was going to have the first surgery...... A little background: I had my MGB on 8/2/99. I've lost 65 pounds. I stopped losing weight in January which is about 6 months after the initial surgery. I saw Dr.R on Aug. 29 and he said he would do a revision, but only after I saw my PCP, got my PCP's okay, and then he wanted me to see a specialist for the osteoarathritis I have. That's the real reason I want to have the revision. My back has done so much better after losing the weight I have lost, but my hips are getting worse. My PCP said it would be most beneficial to get the rest of the weight off. I also no I'm not losing because my one year bloodwork is above normal for several of the vitamins. So I'm still absorbing to much. Geez, why can't I be this efficient in some of the other area's of my life instead of where I DON'T need to be efficient! oh well, just thought I would share my growing excitement with the group!!!!! Thanks for listening, Tina
