Sugar-Free Bacon

Dear All,

As I mentioned in my other post today, Liam has tried bacon. I read in

Elaine's legal/illegal list that bacon with sugar in it can be used once a

week but that you can use sugar-free bacon more frequently. I remember a

thread about this a couple weeks ago but I don't remember the resolution to

it. The bacon we gave Liam had " evaporated cane juice " in it and no

nitrates--I'm not too thrilled to give it to him again (even though he

didn't seem to have any behavioral or GI problems as a result). I couldn't

find any sugar-free bacon in our local health food store. I googled the term

and found that Shop Rite had this product--I remember someone writing about

this earlier. Even though you can shop through Shop Rite via online, they

don't deliver in my state (Ohio). I couldn't find any sugar-free bacon

elsewhere online. What have others done about this issue? I would love to

continue to serve bacon to him--what is the rationale behind why bacon with

sugar in it is okay once per week?

Thanks,

Audrey
