My son had a persistent red spot and they had us leave the band off for two days. She also added a patch of moleskin (just some soft fabric) to that spot and they replace it after each adjustment.

My DS has been in his Doc Band for 6 weeks now. Tomorrow we are going to Cranial Tech for his 2nd DSI for his second band to be made. We started treatment when he was 4.5 months old. We've never had any problems with red spots until about the last week or so. One of the spots has gone away but there is one that is still there. I took his band off while he is napping today, hoping that the redness will get better. The last time we were there the tech gave him a big adjustment, so there is room in the band, it just seems that his head shape has changed so much that the band isn't fitting him or sitting on his head as well as it did. My main concern is that the band will have to be removed while we wait for the second band to be made. I DO NOT want to waist any time, he is only 6 months old right now and growing well. I am hoping that we will be able to get the band in a little less time than two weeks. The tech said she will try, but couldn't guarantee. So my question is: will she tell me that he will not be able to wear the band anymore until the new one comes in? (My worst fear) Or will she be able to do something like smoothing down the area of the band that is causing the redness? She will still be able to shave foam from the back one or possibly two more times. Thanks.
