When you mentioned that you were trying to pass out the brochures for us RPers and they have the NERVE to have to look it first???? They should be THANKFUL for all the information they could get for this disease!! Sorry, but when I read this in your post I got mad. Now, back to you, feel better soon and keep us posted. First off, his office was one of the places that refused to let me place brochures until the office manager reviewed them. She was supposed to call me back and I'm still waiting. So, I just took a dozen in with me this morning. I had left three for the doctors and office manager to pass around, and one was clipped to the front of my chart this morning. My doctor asked about the brochures right off the bat, and commented on how nice and professional they are. So...I pulled out my dozen and asked if I could place them in the rack in the exam room. He was more than happy to have me do that. I ran into one other office that will not let me place them until they are reviewed by the office manager. I am supposed to call her tomorrow. This is at my ex-doctors and if anyone needs brochures it would be the doctors in that practice! I could have just set some around in the waiting room, but I didn't want to waste our resources on the chance that someone would just toss them out. How are the rest of you getting them placed? Do you ask, or just leave them in the waiting room? Anyway, my PCP is not certain what the swelling in my temples is, so he is running some blood work. He thinks it is just plain old water retention, but wants to rule out any other " collagen disease " that it could possibly be. My blood pressure was nasty so I am on a second water pill for a week to see if that makes a difference. I'm sure its nothing more than a big annoyance, but like he said, he has to see things to know what they are. Even seeing it....he didn't know! But at least I got to place more brochures so that was good. Hope everyone is having a good day!
