Guest guest
Sandy and Judy, I have read of some people who have had what was considered very mild cases of chronic pancreatitis that continued on with very few episodes of pain and no further hospitalizations. I presume that's what Judy's referring to. Since we associate a bad attack requiring hospitalization or a severe attack at home as the times where a lot of calcification and damage occurs, it would make sense that if a person isn't having these problems, little damage is done. While we see so many here on our support sites with active, chronic pain and progressive damage, I know there must be a lot of people out there that we never see. If they aren't having real problems with it, they wouldn't need a support group. It might be like living with an ulcer or something. If Matt's dad hasn't had an attack in three years, maybe he is one of those with just a mild case. Let's hope so. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
