We as individuals have to make our own decisions, yes we can ask questions and give answers and have a lot of discussion and feedback from each other, but when push comes to shove we have to make this decision for ourselves. This is major surgery that carries with it major risks, that needs to be thought out and researched until you know that you are comfortable with the procedure you have chosen. As bad as I hate to get on this subject again it boils down to this: LT knew all the facts, she was and is a research expert, she knew the stats, she knew the risks, she knew the possibility of any number of things going wrong just as we who have researched and read and searched our souls know. I am a firm believer in people accepting responsibility for the things they do, things they say and decisions they make. If she wants a revision by another surgeon then she should just do it instead of wasting hers and our time with whatever all this is she's doing. I tried to have empathy for her, but she's just carried all this too far. It is fine to be firm in your convictions and stand up and be counted for how you feel and believe, but that can be done with a little tact, common sense and calmness, not with a fire and brimstone, Salem witch trial kind of thing. We live in a free society and have the privilege of saying what we think and feel and that is an honor to have that right, it just seems to be a shame to use that right to hurt and scare people. To Dr. R. you may not let this post of mine go thru and if not I do understand. Sorry this has come thru twice I forgot to add my signature.
