Guest guest
Thanks for telling us a little about yourself. Glad to hear that you lead an active life. Sure RP can get you down at times but I try to stay busy and not let it get to me. I live in Springfield, Oregon which is adjoined to Eugene, Oregon the big College town her. You know the Oregon Ducks!LOL I am not much of a sports fan but when it is game season this town goes nuts. Alaska is one place I would love to go visit. It looks like it is beautiful country there. I know several people who have had the opportunity to travel there and can't say enough wonderful things about it. Oregon has some beautiful country too. We like to go on car rides in the summer up to the mountains or to the beach just to see the sights. Sure takes a lot to entertain us!LOL Glad that the dr. are willing to send you to a specialist if needed. The most important thing with RP is to get it under control. With the right meds most people do fine. Looking forward to getting to know you better. Just jump in anytime you like. Know we are here for you anytime. Lots of love Glenda
Guest guest
Hello, It was good to hear about you. Welcome to the group. Sounds like you live in a lovely place, I have been all over the country when my husband was able to work, but we never made it to Alaska. He would love to go up there. My name is Marilyn, I live in ston, WA. Was dx with RP in 2001 and had symptoms long before that. It was getting really bad when I finally got to see a rheumatologist in Spokane and he knew right a way what I had. My RP symptoms were pretty bad. Ear and nose flares, swollen joints, nodes on my hands, feet were so bad I made trips to ER and they didn't know what was wrong. All my blood work came back fine except I had a low platlets. Finally when I developed vasculitis the hemotogist got me in to the rheumatologist in Spokane. I am now on metho and low doses of pred. Haven't had near the problems that I had before the medication. Hope you are doing better and that your PCP will find a good rheumatologist to handle your RP. Love, Marilyn
