Hi to all the new family members. My name is and I am 48 married

and live in southeast Texas. I was diagnosed with RP in Aug. of 2001.

I am new at this myself so I have no answers or help I feel like

since I am always asking questions also. But as you will see this is

the place to be for any help or support. I had the burning ears at

first and was put on predisone. After a biopsy confirmed RP i ended

in ICU in 1000 Pred. iv It helped with my breathing. The pred turned

me into a bad diabetic. I also was put on Cytoxan which is a chemo

drug. It caused my hair to fall out , which was the worst part but

hey its only hair. I have been on it since Nov.I was gradually taken

off the pred since it did alot of bad things to me so the Dr. is

waiting till I get bad again before giving me more. If you go to

photos that is me with my daughter Kim at her wedding so you will

know what kind of nut is talking to ya.HAHA Hang in there and wake up

every morning with a smile and just keep going. It doesnt change

anything how you feel but it makes the day go by faster. Luv and
