Guest guest
Thank you for the interesting help re. my questions about " squeezy lemons " and tomatoes in aseptic boxes. I appreciate the input. Does anyone know of a chewable vitamin that is SCD okay? I have now spent over $60 on two different formulations of SCD legal mulitvits (what was I thinking when I ordered two bottles of the first one?! That plus the shipping has made this a very expensive experiment....). DD now refuses to take either. The second one was Kirkman's SCD vitamin that I crushed and put in apple sauce. She would greatly prefer a chewable " no matter how bad it tastes " . Thanks for the help. Ellen 8.5 year old dd dx'ed w. Crohn's. Guest guest
I don't think you'll find a multi that is both legal AND marketed as " chewable " . I know the Freeda SCD legal vitamins (available at Lucy's...the link is on pecanbread.com) are pretty easy to crush... so would probably be chew-UP-able... but there's no sweetener or flavoring. Maybe she could just follow it with a " chaser " of something to drink or a few bites of applesauce. Patti chewable vitamins? Guest guest
Freeda will send you FREE bottles of their unfalvored kids chewables! I tasted one first and thought to myself that there was no way in H - - - that my kids would take them, but I gave it a try with a neutral but positive attitude and they both not only took them, but liked them. Now they ask for their 'mins' every morning with breakfast. I keep thinking they are going to realize that they taste pretty awful, but they love eating them... On a side note, I was giving my 5.5-year- old one two and my 2-year-old one as the bottle says, but my ND looked at the amounts and told me that this was too much. She suggested I cut the amount in 1/2 (1 for my 5-year-old and 1/2 for the 2-year-old). Hope this helps. -Corey
