Preexisiting conditions and Insurance companies

I was told by an insurance company that a preexisting condition also

includes that which the patient may have been suffering from

previously, even if he/she hasn't been seen or diagnosed by a

doctor. The mere fact that they have had symptoms of some illness is

enough of a case for insurance companies to class it as preexisting.

The fact that I had been hospitalised before diagnosis wouldn't

allow me to see if this was true...
