Guest guest
I just got off the phone with Janssen, distributors of the Duragesic patch. They warned me that another 75 mg. patch is being recalled for leakage problems. This problem is not dangerous, but if there is leakage, quite naturally the patches are not effective. The official letter of recall will be released dated April 4, 2004, but since I have two boxes of the control number that is being recalled, they told me about it now, and asked me to return mine to the pharmacy and get a script for new ones. The control number of the recalled 75 mg. Duragesic patch is: O327295 If anyone uses 75 mg. patches, you might check your control number to make sure it isn't the one being recalled. You can find the control number on the bottom flap of the box that the patches come in, or on the front of the individual packaging that each patch is sealed into. I hope no one else has gotten some of these recalled patches. If you have, the recommendation is to take them back to your pharmacy and have your doctor write a new prescription to replace those that are recalled. If your doctor's or pharmacist's would like verification of this, especially since the recall letter hasn't even been released yet, they can call the Janssen Customer Action Center at 1- from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Standard Time, Monday through Friday. Now I'm off to Savannah to pick up my new prescription! I'll be back online tonight. I hope everyone is doing well. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H.
