Pre surgery stats of Big Red..

I really cannot believe how free I have been with telling anyone who

ask, my exact weight! Wow what a revelation!

- Weight and height at my June 12th physical - 387/5'6 " (BMI - 62)

- August Dr. R changes criteria for weight limit and I go on one more

drastic diet (Slim Fast - 2 times a day, 2 fruits,1 Lean Cusine

(250-300 cal.) for dinner and a ton of water)

- 1st week weigh in 374 (I realize this was mostly water)

- 2nd week weigh in 364

- 3rd week weigh in 362 (still did not give up)

- 4th week weigh in 359

- Weighed on 9-19-00 - 358 (I had been out to eat both Monday and

Tuesday nights and had ceasar salads both times)

- Called PCP and told her I was retaining fluid (I felt like

was sloshing from all the water I was drinking) and she gave me

some lasix to take for a couple of days!

- Weigh in at my PCP's office on 9-22-00 - 352!!!!!! Wow, I didnot

know tears weighed that much !!!

- Went out to Outback with a friend last night and had a sincable

dinner (small steak - very lean, baked potato with 1 pat of butter

instead of my usual loaded version, no bread, salad with dressing

on the side and only used half of it, no dessert, no Blooming

Onion, and water). I was stuffed but very satisfied! BAck to the

lower calorie diet today!

- The coolest thing of all.....I was in a booth and I actually had

room between my stomach and the table....usually I didnot bother

to put my napkin in my lap since the food could not get there

anyway! What an experience!

Thanks for all the information, support, cheers, calls, hugs and love

you have all shown me during my quest for MGB! This process really

does take a community to see it thru! I hope I can be of as much help

to the future post-ops!
