I haven't had much time to post lately and wanted to ask everyone to extend some time to me on the quilt project and you'll understand after I send this update! All is well ... we were in Cali for 4 days, the 11th-14th of April. Bought a home in Rancho Santa Margarita (above Mission Viejo), 1925 Sq.Ft., 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths (to accommodate assorted family members who will be visiting on a regular basis), listed our house in New York on the 14th aswell, had 2 offers, and was sold in 24 hours for almost a full price offer! My parents will be about 1/2 hour from us now if we use the new toll road and 35 miles to Igor's new offices in the Long Beach harbor. Both the other boys will be about 45 minutes away. Now we are now processing the paperwork nightmare .... closing on the 12th of June in Cali and the 21st of June in NY and working through the relocation company, thus more paperwork. My youngest son, Jimmy, finishes his last final onthe 19th of June and he has to be in Cali on the 24th for the 1st day of football camp at his new high school as well as registering for the fall semester. We are flying in on the 23rd of June for good. I interviewed with Sony in Irvine, but there are no current opportunities for me. Push comes to shove ... I'll take a personal leave of absence so I don't screw up my benefits and work for Adecco out there, which is Sony's temporary agency and we use them as well here on the East Coast. A couple of week ago Igor and I were in New Orleans for the christening of the first tug and barge unit. It was very exciting and of course, there were too many eating parties. I Was glad to get home and back to the gym ... the weatherthere was sweltering with the humidity and I escaped before the 500,000+ people arrived for the jazz fest over the weekend. Now Igor can relax a little (at least until the 2nd unit is done the end of June) and he's actually been home a little bit instead of the day and half of weekend visits we'vehad lately. It's almost as if he was back on the tugs again (God I miss those days!) The really sucky part .... I didn't plan on him being here and I have to cook lately ... Yuck! I was just getting spoiled and he had to ruin everything again! Have a great day ... hope to catch up and complete all this craziness soon so I can get back to the task at hand ... the quilt. I have received blocks from 3 members ... Heidi, Dawn and one other woman, who's name completely escapes my grape (brain) at the present time. I owe some samples and instructions to a couple of the gals too (Susiecue and Dagney) .... I haven't forgotten you either. Be well and strive for flare free days. Just me ...
