Guest guest
Hi , I just read your post and I'm soooooo glad you got your appointment scheduled with Dr. Lehman. If you think about it, start writing questions down now. I must have had 2-3 pages of questions and concerns when I went. And he answered every one!!! When I was there he did a CT scan right away and then the ERCP the next am. Of course he found that I had SOD in the panc duct too and had to cut that and also enlarge my previous sphincterotomy from the bile duct. He then placed a temporary stent into the panc duct for drainage. He did not see any major signs of chronic pancreatitis but informed me that it could still be there, just not showing yet. When I called him after 3 months, he told me to continue with pain meds, try enzymes, and come back in another 3 months. He said it sounded like I definitely have CP and in time something will show. I do believe him because my pain has increased and is now everyday. He never once told me that It was in my head or that my pain was from anything else. This guy knows his stuff. Anyway, know that you will be in good hands and like Chrissy said, Try to relax and don't worry about anything now. Take time to get your travel plans in order, etc, etc.. I am glad you are feeling alittle better today too. I am having a pretty good day myself. My back is much better and I finally got out of the house today.. the first time in 1 1/2 weeks !! Felt good to walk around abit. Still can't bend over but hopefully time will heal. As far as my pancreas...it has been behaving pretty good for the past few days. Hope you can sleep much better knowing that the appt is made and all else will fall in line. Sweet dreams Kris in TN
