Almost 7 months in a helmet and we're done...?

Hi

This has been quite the experience for us and one none of us will

ever forget - well my son probably wont remember but we'll have lots

of pictures to show him when he's older.

Unfortunately we did not get his head corrected. He is a super slow

grower, in fact at 13 months old he is just over 19 lbs. His helmet

never needed any adjustments - it still fits. Yesterday we were at

the clinic and when we compared his photos at 6 months to present day

there really isn't much difference. He has a full head of hair which

does a lot to disguise his head shape - until he gets it wet. We

were told that there isn't any point in continuing to wear it. Since

it isn't going to do any harm if I continue to leave it on that is

what I'm going to do, for another 2 or 3 months, I'll monitor on my

own. I realized some time ago that it is too late for full

correction or even a big improvement but I feel we can keep trying

ourselves - every little bit helps.

You get so use to the look of your child wearing the helmet and since

he's been crawling and walking its a great device for protection as

well - we're all cool with leaving it on.

thanks to everyone in this group for all the advice, information and

support. Its such a relief to be able to share with others that know

first hand what you're going through.
