Guest guest
Hi o, Maybe because of the formula, which is really supposed to be for metric measurements. BMI, weight in kilograms is divided by height in meters, squared. I found the following site for the BMI calcualation: http://www.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/bmicalc.htm The National Institutes of Health Body Mass Index Table can be found at: NHLBI, Obesity Guidelines-Executive Summary-BMI Chart http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/guidelines/obesity/bmi_tbl.htm BMI guidelines, what they mean, is at: Patient and Public Education Materials http://www.nhlbi.nih.gov/health/public/heart/obesity/lose_wt/risk.htm Hope you find this helpful, Kris Kuhl (Fredericksburg, VA) MGB wannabee waiting for Cigna approval. > Does anyone know why the BMI comes up with different results at > different sites?
