I saw Dr Buckner today and we are going to be focusing on lowering my Prednisone, so we can see how much of my sypmtoms are RP and which are my related to my weight gain, lack of exercise and general not feeling very well. I asked her to be honest with me about what to expect in the future and she was great. She basically told me not to cash in my retirement funds! We talked about the medicines being more threatening at times, than the condition itself. I know I've heard others say this, but it felt good to have a good discussion about the future with her, what she'll be watching for, and what I need to be responsible for. I feel very fortunate to have her as my doctor. Just wanted to share in my moment of being in a very positive mood, even though it's still hard at times.
