I am newly diagnosed (12/01), although I've had RP for at least 3 years, if not longer. I am 38 and do not have any pulmonary involvement, or involvement of my trach / bronchial areas. I am on methotrexate (20mg. once a week), 30 mg. of Prednisone daily (although I'm slowly decreasing this, by 2.5 mg. every two weeks, and Colchicine and Indomethacine. I have not gotten much energy back since being hit with the intial extreme flare in December, but the symptoms have lessened in intensity quite a bit. This group is good, because it's there when I need it, but I am signed up to read the posts on the web site only, so I don't get overwhelmed with email and can take it at my own pace. I have learned a lot about others' experiences, which has been helpful and interesting. No one's experiences are exactly like mine, but chances are, anything I am experiencing, someone has seen and can share notes with me. Well, enough rambling. Welcome!
