I posted new pictures of my son under J - Jake Almeida. He is now 12 mo old and

was in a hanger helmet before he was 6 months old to correct his plagio. It has

been 6 months since the helmet and since he is now a year old I'm taking him

back to get a follow up scan. I want to know where his numbers are now so that I

can once and for all decide if more treatment is needed.

Please take a look at the pic's and let me know what you think.

Thanks a bunch,

Dawn (Mom to Jake, 12mo old, resolved plagio, hanger helmet, Conn.)

Hi Dawn, What a cutie! Jake had some really great growth! Oddly, I would

have guessed he had brachy rather than plagio because I see a tiny bit of the

brachy widening and height....but that may be because my son has brachy and I'm

overly sensitive. I would never guess that anything was not " normal " with Jake's

head. You must have been so happy with his progress.

Congratulations!

Luke, 11.3 months old

mild plagio, moderate brachy

,

Thanks so much for the post. I took Jake to Hanger for the 6month followup scan

yesterday and I'm waiting for the results. I will post them when I get them. His

head is still a little wide on the sides, but the back and profile looks great.

I can't wait to see where the numbers are now.

Thanks, Dawn (Jake, 12mo, Hanger grad, Conn)

Dawn,

I agree with - I don't see any signs of plagio at all, but the triangle head shape and width of the head looks a little bit like a mild brachy. Of course, there appears to be good length in the side view and I can't see the flat spot, so maybe that's just his natural head shape. My daughter has less length than you baby does.
