I started off with Viokase in 1998, then I got gout from the pork in it, so had to switch to Vitaline's veggie fungal analog prep. That was discontinued so I now take Freeda Pharmacy's vegetarian pancreatic enzymes. I hardly eat any fat except the replacement borage & flax oil caps. I am so weak & I don't even want to eat half the time. I've had this ugly disease since 1980,or earlier, but it was only diagnosed in 1998. Is Creon made of pork or porcine? Is it prescription? I'm so sick that I'm willing to try anything again even if it makes my gout worse. I'll ask my gastro for a prescription either way.........I feel as if I'm just wasting away, loss another 5lbs. and I'm 6ft......small frame, but still.....thanks for your info.
