FYI,

It was reported in the news today that the US FDA ( U.S. Food and Drug

Administration) will be regulating all medications containing pancreatic

enzymes

medications to ensure that they demonstrate their safety and effectiveness.

About 38 drugs containing missing pancreatic enzymes are on the market,

according

to the FDA. The FDA said companies can continue to market their drugs during

the next four years, which are needed for clinical trials and manufacturing

upgrades.

I first heard about this from the Creon Reoresentative two years ago. At that

time, they were preparing data to substantiate the FDA statement that at that

time only Creon was willing to self-regulate until the FDA asssumed

regularoty status. Out of curiosity, I have put together a poll to discern which

enzymes preparations people take and if they have tried other brands, and was

there

a noted difference in their efficacy. This poll can be located at:

I came here today to post what you have all ready posted. If you go

to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation web page it is there. As it was the

C F Foundation that has brought this terrible news out and made all

this happen.

I personally did not know there were prescriptions

drugs " Grandfathered IN " as FDA approved. I think this is a crime.

love and kindest regards,

Gay

Anyone wishing to respond directly to me must do so using my

mgay@... as I have not read the board in a long time.
