Guest guest
Things are better, but in general anything from Yahoo does not get through, although a rare item from my yahoogroups does and I had one day of normal mail! So far, Comcast has sent a tech to " tweak " everything-- what he did was the same as Gateway had had me do, which was the same as Microsoft had advised--for $3.95 per minute--very succinct call. Finally, I called a friend who is a computer expert and he came over and pronounced all to be well. Together, we examined all my yahoogroups carefully, and it did seem to him that all was correct. I am using Outlook Express which usually reaches most anywhere. I can reach individuals and even send group mail to my yahoo groups but find out daily what I have not received when a private post arrives detailing the event. This is more true of cfparents than of any other groups, but does apply to all my yahoo groups, one of which simply disappeared, although I can post to it. No worms, no viruses, adequate but not too much firewall protection, app ropriate settings, blah, blah! Any ideas will be gratefully accepted. Lists rise and fall in terms of activity, but for cfparents to be this quiet strikes me as odd, and when I look at what has been sent, on the site, I KNOW what I am not receiving. So, three giant companies, one computer technician who visited and three of my cousins are baffled. I tried setting up cfparents on their computers and things were no better. And this is a big list, and I am not exactly a computer illiterate! All ideas, directions, instructions, questions, etc. gratefully received. I have already tortured the moderator, cannot rea ch the other one; the mail bounces. HEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeelllllllllLLLLLLLPPPPPPPP! You get the picture! (Even if I do not!) n Rojas Rojas@... Guest guest
n, I'm sure you've already done this, but I'll suggest it anyway just in case. Have you gone to the Yahoo groups website and to the cfparents home page (or any other you are having trouble with)? If you click on Edit My Membership it takes you to another page. Under Email Address you need to add any click on Add new email address and submit any new email addy you want to use. They will send you a verification to that address. Then, you will be able to choose that email address from the drop-down list in the Email Address section of the Edit My Membership page. As I said, I'm sure you've already done this but it's all I can think of.
