Guest guest
For those in the Philadelphia area: My son Adam will appear as Prince Mamillius in Shakespeare's " The Winter's Tale " Mon-Fri Sept. 18, 19, 20, 21, 22 at 7:30 PM and Mon-Fri Sept. 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 at 7:30 PM at Murrell Dobbins CTE High School 2150 West Lehigh Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19132 Tickets are $8 for students and seniors, $10 for everyone else, and are available only at the door. Adam just turned 8 and this will be his first stage performance outside of preschool and elementary school. He will not stay for curtain call Mon-Thurs but may be present at the end on Fridays. I haven't told anyone in the play of his disorder, but the director has probably guessed. It's a small part and Adam was the only boy the right age who tried out. There is parking in the school parking lot as well as in the shopping center parking lot across the street on Lehigh between 21st and 22nd St. PUBLIC TRANSIT: Murrell Dobbins at the corner of 22nd St. and Lehigh and is easily accessible from center city via the 33 bus in about 1/2 hour. You can get the 33 bus on Market Street between 2nd Street and 13th Street and from JFK Blvd from 15th St. to 19th St. It goes up 19th, 21st, and then 22nd St. so you can get off right at the corner of 22nd and Lehigh, then go around to the front of the building. The 33 bus returning to center city stops at the Variety Store diagonally across the street. Adam and I took the bus a few times when my car was in the shop so we know first-hand. The bus driver who leaves 15th & JFK at 6:07 PM and arrives at 22nd & Lehigh at 6:32 was particularly pleasant and remembered us and what our stop was. Some times for the 33 bus: 15th & JFK 22nd & Lehigh 6:39 PM 7:03 PM 6:47 PM 7:11 PM 6:56 PM 7:20 PM 7:04 PM 7:28 PM 7:12 PM 7:36 PM 22nd & Lehigh 16th & Market 8:22 PM 8:43 PM 8:42 PM 9:03 PM 9:11 PM 9:20 PM 9:41 PM 9:59 PM 10:11 PM 10:29 PM 10:41 PM 10:59 PM 11:11 PM 11:20 PM 11:40 PM 11:55 PM mother of Adam (8.0, PDD-NOS, Lyme, asthma, egg allergy, SCD 6/06)
