Guest guest
Hi all, I haven't posted in quite awhile. I have been pretty down and out. I have been in the hospital several times for acute attacks and was told that it is time to consider having a total pancreatectomy. I would like to hear from someone who has already had the procedure and if they could relate their experience to me from start to finish. I would like to know the length of the surgery, the recovery process, and everything in between. Everything you know I would like to know. I really want to research this as much as possible before jumping into it. I am only 34 years old and have two boys, 5 and 7. I really would like to put it off for a little while yet and let my boys grow up a little more, but time will tell. I am applying for SSD and hopefully that will go my way also. Oh, by the way, I also have SOD. Has anyone had their surgery done in Cincinnati, Ohio? Was it a good experience, etc? Thank you in advance for you info. Thoughts and prayers. T.
