aetna aprroved RNY

This is just amazing. I had fought and fought with Aetna to have the MGB

and had my feet dug in and wasnt letting go. Once I figured I Dr. R wasnt

going to see me with ins or even as a self pay I moved on to anther Dr and

the RNY. I called my ins nurse and let her know what I wanted and to see

what it was she wanted me to do. She took the name of the Dr. here in town

and my PCP info as well and said she would get in touch. 1 hour and 12

minutes later I was approved. Thats all there was to it...just one phone

call and batta bing (?). I expected to wait longer and be denied and have

to appeal. I was in shock and just sd thanks and h.up.

I had to call her back beacuse I am not ready for the RNY till

after xmas due to the down time. I called to see how long the ok was good

for. She said 90days. I told her what I wanted and wanted to wait till

jan. She said no prob just have the surgeon send a letter with the date

and jan would be fine. Jeez, it hurts more brushing my hair in the

morning. Well, I have the appointment next week and this is it. It is

almost anticlimactic. I was looking for a fight. Now Ill have to expel my

energies elsewhere.
