Guest guest
Hello Suzi B. My name is Lucy. I live in Calif. My brother lives in Colorado. You were talking about your legs aching. This just happened with me a couple of weeks ago, too. I don't know what it’s from or what, but I had a spinal injection they put morphine and some numbing stuff. I had 3 treatments and I came out the first day with a bad, bad headache. I told the nurse on the first day and he got me some medication, but guess he didn't mention it to the doc. Well, by the weekend I couldn't take it no longer. I went to see my doc and he said I had a spinal headache and so he had to put some of my blood back into my spine. He said that should get rid of the headache. I felt a little better, but not all better so after that I went home. As soon as I got out of the van the doc gives us rides in, I started walking and had this severe pain in the back of my legs from the knee to the bottom of my feet of both legs. I called the doc and he told me to take my medicine and lay flat and on ice. I did. Well, the medicine only lasted about an hr, the pain was more severe, and hurting me so bad, I couldn't sit because it got worse. All I could do was pace back and forth, for it not to hurt so bad. I called the doc. He didn't call me right back, so I called the paramedics. By then my husband was home. The doc called and told me to call him when I got to the hospital. So I did, and they took me right into the ER. A lady doc gave me some morphine to calm me down. My doc had me admitted and started me on a morphine drip. For the headache they gave me Percocet. They also put me on Oxycontin every 12 hrs, 60mg each time. The pain in my legs finally stopped. I went home in three days. Well, now the pain in my legs has come back and is worse. One leg starts at the hip and hurts so bad, my headache is still not fixed and my spine hurts up and down my back. I am in serious pain. I went to the urgent care and they gave me 200mg Demerol. It barely took away the pain. I talked to my doc and told him about the lollipop medicine that some one on the internet told me about in our group. He gave me the 600 mcg and said to try it and if it works, that’s good. I don’t know if I told you I have a morphine pump in me. But at the time the hose fell out we didn't know it until he did the spinal injection. Soon we will set up a day to put it back. It does control the pain a lot more. So right now, I don't know what’s wrong with my legs. I told him again today, so we will see. I was probably not a big help. But it first started after the blood patch was done and now it continues for me. Good luck for both of us. Lucy B. California sparklewithlucy@...
