Dear Chrisy and others,

I've just come home from my EUS and am ejoying ice-cream (low fat,

non-dairy but delicious!) to ease the slghtly sore throat. The test

was OK and the stff lovely.

I got a shock though because I was told I would have the results

straight afterwards. Dr Lombard, my lovely Irish gastro, did the

test and spoke to us afterwards. As he had suspected, just in my

particular case (not to put off anyone else), my pancreas is in such

a dreadful state of atrophy and calcification that making judgements

on lesions which could be something different is difficult. This

accords with everything I've ever read about the test. I would

probably need another one later to make comparisons Anyway, I'll

still be discussing the results with Prof as asoon as poss. Dr

Lombard did take biopsies from the duodenum to see if he can shed

any more light on the coeliac question.

WEll, I suppose the " news " could be worse. I'm grateful.

Chrissy, did my photos arrive earlier to-day?
