Guest guest
- We didnt have to show anything. Cranial Tech basically checked a box on their paperwork that said we repo'd and then they got a letter of recommendation (I think) from our doctor. Your pedi should have records of you repo'ing (if you told your pedi that is!) We didnt have to do anything though as far as showing proof. CT took care of all the contact work and insurance before we even received our band. Did you use CT? - Cole in DOCband since 12/1From: Roper <sbmcd15@...>Plagiocephaly Sent: Monday, December 29, 2008 6:18:26 PMSubject: - Aetna Insurance Question Hi , I was just wondering if you would be able to share with me the documentation you provided Aetna to prove you repositioned for 2 months, we just got a denial from Aetna stating you have to prove you repo'd for 2 months, and we definitely did, but not sure how to document it. Also do you know how many mm severity they require for coverage? I have been on the phone with so many different people and I always get the run around and no one seems to ever know anything specific and it gets so frustrating! ! My daughter graduates from her band on Friday so it would be nice to see that $ back!! Thank you sooooooo much for any info you can share- I appreciate it! I wish you and your family the best of everything in 2009!! Guest guest
We have Aetna, and had the same experience as . Completely covered and taken care of (w/exception of $200 deductible) before we even got the band. We also used CT. My son was diagnosed as severe plagio (20 mm). Not sure if that had something to do with it. Also, we did not have to document repo... but he was also 9 months at that point and repo was pointless. Guest guest
Hi , Thanks for the info. No, unfortunately we didn't use CT, we used a local ortho whom our pediatrician took his own son to. While, we get great results and were able to get our band quickly, this insurance stuff if like a full time job for me (he is a single guy practice and doesn't handle any of that stuff!) So while it may have been more out of pocket to begin with , I think with CT we would have had a better shot at getting our $ back! Good luck with your band, I hope your son has many growth spurts! THanks for your help. > > > From: Knapp <knapp1307 (DOT) com> > > Subject: Re: Insurance Help > > Plagiocephaly > > Date: Monday, December 29, 2008, 7:36 PM > > I have Aetna and they covered the entire band.
