Guest guest
Hi Donna! (By the way, I'm Fliss, my husband is Jim!) I can't remember, I'm afraid, if you have defintely been diagnosed as having coeliac disease? It's only if you have coeliac disease that you need to worry about eliminating gluten from your diet. You can buy delicious breads, cakes, biscuits, pastas etc. etc. which are gluten-free so there's no need for anyone who is coeliac to worry! You can also buy gluten-free bread and cake mixes and flours. However, there is no benefit at all for CP patients in eliminating gluten so don't do it unless you just happen to have coeliac disease as well. Very, very rare!! We have just been talking about it because Kris has been diagnosed as having both conditions (coeliac and CP) and, in my case, I was diagnosed years ago as being coeliac and only last year with CP. It seems very possible that my original coeliac diagnosis was wrong anyway. If you have had a definite diagnosis of coeliac disease, you will be referred to a dietician who will go through everything with you. Hope that clarifies things! With very good wishes, Fliss (UK)
