Graduation day for ely

Hi, I just came back from the orthotist app. My son ely 7 months old just

graduated his helmet. He wore it for 8 weeks. His head was off by 6mm and is now

down to 0mm at section 5 of his head. By section 3 he is off by 4mm and by

section 0 he is off by 4mm. Going from top to bottom of his head section 5 is

top. The orthotist told me that now his head will grow in the spaces by itself

until he is a teenager. I would love to hear at what number your children

graduated, also any instructions regarding back sleeping after wearing a helmet.

Is it still necessary to make sure they sleep every night on different side of

the face?

Thanks

Miriam

Congratulations Ely and Mommy. I'm sure you must be enjoying seeing his head

again. Regression isn't that common so you shouldn't worry too much about it,

but if you can vary his head position it won't hurt either. Of course by 7 mo

you might not be able to do much anyway. My daughter graduated at 10 months old,

and we didn't do anything special but by then she was mostly sleeping on her

side (she had brachy so her flat area was in the back).
