When I returned to the area, the receptionist surprisingly exclaimed, "they paged you?" YES, persistance does pay! So, Sunshine, don't take NO for an answer! So much traffic occurs at Mayo, and appointments get rescheduled all the time! You don't want to stay at Mayo any longer than necessary (hotel bills do add up). If anyone gives you the run around, just see a patient representative. Hi , We found that out by mistake and every apt. I had we went early or the day before, sometimes we got in and others we didn't. lol I wish I could go back with all my apts. intact and know for sure everything they are going to do. Did you feel like the Mayo Clinic helped you? When you feel like it please let me know. Thanks! Love, Lu
Guest guest
LU, did you also see Dr Michet? How did you feel about your trip there? Tommorrow, I promise, i am joining the foundation...check will be in the mail...this group is soooo valuable! Next on my list is the Medic alert(codieine allergy)(if not RP)... daughter has worn one for about 22 of her 24 years. She also has too much to engrave on the bracelet...that is part of what is so nice about the on-line info....room for everything and any changes. KAREN (aloha), i am gathering/organizing my records for the Mayo trip. your input has been so helpful! Hope yo have recovered from jet-lag. I have relatives in Hawaii, but have never been there, myself. My husband was there in the Navy about '68. SQUEEK, yep, i'm very independant also, very hard to accept any help, let alone ask for it! i'm learning, though...hey i AM a recovering worrier! Pretty much i do o.k. So far, thank GOD, i have been able to continue my very active life-style. i do my best not to let things slow me down...doesen't mean i don't pay for it, though...many times i " cowboy-up " all too much! We live on 5 acres in a 100year-old farm house in the middle of Iowa corn & bean fields. Our daughter has 6 horses(2 are babies) I have a pony. My husband and i love yard-work and gardening...flowers and perenials, not veggies (the kitchen being my least favorite place except when it comes time to eat!) Anyway, we are very busy! My daughter was unemployed was during my most tired (RP?)period...she lives at home and was a BIG help! MICHELLE, that is one way it worked out for the best that she was unemployed! I was able to rest more on the weekends and evenings after work. Happy Birthday, SHARON! BLUWHITE, i used to be PAINfully shy...went to 18 different schools growing up, it was difficult! Now i'm not shy anymore and i'm having SO much fun with THAT! EVERYONE, my co-worker and friend has just told me that we are on her prayer list at church...she is quite the gal!
