Good luck with the springer, my friend in England has one, and they really do need a good run every day. When I am staying there, I take a ball and tennis racquet to the park, as I can't throw the ball far enough!! , (my friend's dog) is very affectionate and responds very well to a bit of fuss, i.e having her head scratched!!
