Guest guest
I was on - the word WAS being the operative word - until my husband worked OT and we got kicked off the program. It was great! They paid for any and all expenses related to CF. Drs. co pays, meds co-pays, lab work, xrays, pfts, etc.! A real savings. I am trying to get back on the Program- its call Physically Handicapped Childrens Program..........nice name....its so worth getting on. Maybe you just got a awful coordinator who knows zip about the program! Its worth looking into. Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and have coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT "
Guest guest
YES, I will get with you tomorrow . I work with allot of them. the gal in charge here in this area(she has 3 of the counties. Was one of my speakers at Ed day. She can tell us what & who to sit on. maybe even help us. I have know her 20years & she has been the honcho up here for that long too. Soooooooooooo, We'll get to bottom. No 2 states are the same. I think they go out of their ways to be " different " to confuse us all . Our gals in AR have to try & keep up , so we can even get paid. Sooooooo, we will see. in Fl we are the pharmacy of choice for the CMS program. Anyway. All the post s with the different advise is great . make syou think about all the different stuff. like I wrote you in first post . You will need all the papers/med records & as much " stuff " & items , treatments etc you can think of . BUT they will make sure the are valid in FL . they check all of it as we have so much transient folks in & out & it really eats the $$ up. There have been some years where they actually ran out of money in November .....But I will get with you & we can work out a PLAN -hehee.......... Generally , it covers what Medicaid doesn't , like you said....but .....salary does play a big roll in that .like Rosemary says. -That is the same in FL. Call me in morning when you get time. i will be in after 9am.12/22/03 LOVE & HUGS, grandmoMBEV Re: Check out Children's Medical Services Homepage I have C.M.S. for Tyler down here in Fla.With each hospitalization i contact them (thats what their initial paperwork tell you to do).So far they have done NOTHING for me or Ty.I finally tried to find a polite way to ask my worker what they are actually suppose to do for me, i NEVER did get an answer, i STILL dont have a clue, and they STILL haven't done anything.I thought they cover what medicaid doesnt, so far, not true.My worker told mee she was going to handle the school end for Ty's 1st hospitilization, not true, as aa matter of fact she made things worse on us cuz I trusted she was going to take care of it, didn't, then I had the school office wondering what happened to Ty.I have been waiting for over a week for her to call me back after sveral attempts to reach her, again, no answer.Their homepage looks pretty, sounds great, but thats as far as it goes. Bev, if you're reading this, maybe you could help clear up what their suppose to do, i'm baffled. I do, however, appreciate you bringing C.M.S. to my attention though, if they did whatever they're suppose to, I'll bet they/'d be great:):) Thanks, Patty, mom to Ty 8wcf and 2wocf > Click here: Children's Medical Services Homepage > > >
