Guest guest
It might be a casein reaction, too. You could pull out the yogurt, wait until the reaction subsides, then try a very small amount of goat cheese. If you get the reaction again, since there is no probiotic effect of cheese but plenty of casein in it, you have your answer. I have been wrestling with severe edema-- elephant ankles-- since going on SCD/LOD this summer. At first, I thought it was die-off or oxalate dumping. Thinking it could be a food reaction, I pulled out eggs (and bananas, since Elliot was reacting badly to those egg-banana pancakes)...got a little better but not much. Then I pulled out yogurt for a week, still had it. So I pulled out cheese (only dairy left in my diet is casein-free ghee) and a few days later, I got my ankles back. Of course, " your mileage may vary " but it is worth considering. Lorilyn
