Patty,

Sorry that my other post was cut off in mid paragraph. I'm having some

computer problems tonight and the computer seems to have a mind of it's

own.

We were discussing the muccous, white stools, etc....all that fun stuff. I do

believe it is related to steatorrhea. You also mentioned that you were

constipated and had difficulty because of your narcotics. I'd been having

problems for months when I was first diagnosed, my system just plugged up

from it's first exposure to regular pain medications, and I was miserable.

After

trying Metameucil, stool softeners, Senecot, Colax, prunes, mineral

oil.....everything you could dream of, I was still having a lot of difficulty.

Finally my doctor prescribed Miralax, which now I take once every three days

or so, and this product works beautifully. It's a powder that has no taste, so

you can mix it in with water, soda, tea or coffee. Since I started using this

last

year things have been going very smoothly....LOL!

If you're going to be continuing to take pain meds, you might ask your doctor if

he would prescribe this for you. Another thing to remember is to drink lots and

lots of water every day. The water helps to flush out your colon and to keep it

healthy, and our pancreas' love it also!

With love, hope and prayers,

Heidi
