Guest guest Posted July 4, 2002 Report Share Posted July 4, 2002 Dr. Buckner's medication of choice for RP is Methotrexate; however, she said if Imuran is working for me, then to stay on it. (I'm not sure it is.) OR I could talk to my local Rheumatologist about getting on Methotrexate. I've just heard so many horror stories about Metho, that I'm hesitant to try it. Also, and I know Heidi won't agree with this, but I asked her whether I should be on a stomach protector since I'm on so many medications....including prednisone. She said she didn't think I should add another medication to the long list at this time, that if I feel some discomfort to take something like Tums, but to keep an eye on it.
