Guest guest
Hey Kim, Thanks for the welcome...is much appreciated! 's in Great Lakes, IL. just completed ATT and is starting his Gunner's Mate classes. He told me today that he's suppose to graduate 8/24 which is a lot sooner than Oct. as they said online. Then he's off to " C " school or sent out to the fleet...as he told me. My dear little " Cracker Jack " boy (as I love to refer to him) could have done something else in the Navy but wanted to follow in his G-pa's footsteps. Thanks for asking. How long has your husband been in the Navy? Where are you located now, if I can ask? Take care, > Welcome, I hope you find the information you need here. What is your son going to do for the Navy? My dh is Navy thats why I ask, and when he goes to shore duty in two years he will be teaching A school and Power school in ton SC > > Kim > Open 5-5-03 > 243-118-115 > 26-28 Now 4-
Guest guest
Kim, Submarine's are alittle too closed in for me. was told not to wish for a aircraft carrier cause they don't go into ports often so he's hoping for a destroyer if memory serves me right. I am 2 hrs west of Atlanta in Alabama...almost neighbors. > hes been in for 7 years and is making a career of it. He is stationed in Kingsbay GA, hes on a submarine here. > > Kim

Guest guest
Kim, We got to visit a sub that was in Norfolk back in 2001 because an old Navy boyfriend (he was on the Eisenhower not a sub) was able to swing it. My insides were churning and my breathing was becoming too intense (chest felt like a load of bricks were sitting on it) to continue in the area's that were okay to see. I was blessed with asthma and it acts up in inappropriate times...like then. I'll be sure to keep in contact with you as to where he's headed out of school. Its makes me feel good to hear from other's who have love one's in the Navy cause I know if I can make friends online then he will have a friend wherever he goes. Thanks! Take care,
