My name is and I was just approved after 9 months of

insurance battles, 6 months of a medically supervised diet with my

doctor and nutritionist. My user ID is " chicks in my house " crammed

together because I have 3 beautiful little girls, and a loving

husband of 14 years August 10. So there is definitely a ton of

estrogen here. My surgery is August 24, 2004. I have always been one

of " those " " she is so beautiful, if she'd only lose weight " people.

I say this, because I would never, will never say that about anyone

fighting obesity. I am looking for any and all advise that you could

give me...pre-post op and especially post op diet. What to REALLY

expect...immediately following surgery, 1 month, 2 month, 3 months

down the road etc. My doctor is the owner of sdale Bariatric,

Dr. Robin Blackstone. She is supposed to be HIGHLY regarded in this

field of GBS and an educator, a clinical researcher, etc. She also

requires several 4 hour seminars pre and post surgery, where the one

after surgery (1 week) is where you will actually have your first

meal...there. Has anyone had surgery by Dr. Blackstone in

sdale, Arizona? I would love to hear your stories. Anyway, I am

glad I found this board, I have been dealing with just getting the

approval for so many months, I have hardly researched the actual

surgery...recently anyway. So, with that said, any info deemed

needed would be greatly appreciated.
