Guest guest
Alyssa, that sounds amazing! Too bad I can't eat it! Serious dairy allergies and i've not yet tried almond or coconut flour. Aw, bummer. The one my family makes has pineapple in it, which combined with the carrots makes it amazingly moist. That sounds amazing!! I should try that next time. I can't wait to try the almond flour and see if it still tastes good. Aw, your green smoothie story reminds be of the first time I made an avocado-banana smoothie, and the bottom of the blender literally fell out and a good portion of the kitchen was a green mess )Oh yes, or the time when I was making a smoothie in the beach house blender that likes to explode. I was holding the lid down so I wouldn't pop off, and I asked my dad to flip it on for me. He indicated that I was being ridiculous, of course the blender wasn't going to explode, just press the button. So, I did, and smoothie basically went everywhere. It was a bummer. But, he did feel bad and helped me clean it up <g> haha, thanks for the commiseratingThat's what we're here for! =D Cheers!Alyssa 16 yo UC April 2008, dx Sept 2008SCD June 2009 (restarted)Azathioprine 75 mg 1x per dayPrednisone 22.5 mg 1x per day
Guest guest
When you are ready to try almond and coconut flour, Elanaspantry.com has some awesome looking cupcakes and muffins for blueberries and cream and carrot cake. Just use honey instead of the other sweetener (I think that's the only difference but not 100%). Also use a legal SCD frosting. Sounds like several of us have had an awkward weekend ;-). It will pass hopefully. Would frozen mango make good cupcakes? I kind of think so but I've never heard of it so I don't know.
