Guest guest
I believe Misty posted this originally Riced" Cauliflower Directionshttp://goo.gl/IdCJIngredients:1 head cauliflower (or however much you want)Preparation:To make this dish the most easily and to have it come out the best, three pieces of equipment are very helpful:- A food processor- A microwave- A covered (or fairly tightly coverable) microwave-safe dish1) Process fresh cauliflower until it is the size of rice, either using the plain steel blade or the shredder blade. Alternatively, you can shred it with a hand-held grater, or even use a knife, if you have the dexterity to chop it up VERY finely.2) Microwave it in a covered dish. DO NOT ADD WATER. Cauliflower absorbs water like crazy, and the "granules" will become gummy. To keep it fluffy, just let the moisture in the cauliflower do its work.Cauliflower Pizza Crust***NOTE*** On the site it says use Mozzarella which is illegal. *** I have subbed a legal cheese in the recipe below.http://goo.gl/qmM1Cauliflower Pizza CrustIngredients:1 cup cooked, riced cauliflower (see recipe above)1 egg1 cup Havarti or other tolerated cheese1 tsp oregano2 tsp parsleyDirections:Preheat oven to 450 degrees.Spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray. In a medium bowl, combine cauliflower, egg and cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes at 450 degrees. 2) Take hot patties and wrap around a rolling pin. When cool enough to handle and with form, let cool on a rack for 6-8 hours in a cool oven. (To hold the shape, if you have those stackable racks, you can inset the edges through the racks of a cooling rack or your oven and allow them to hang down. They may curl slightly. Don't panic! They should be still pliable enough the next day to open without breaking). Makes about 12 shells.Cauliflower Bread or Pizza Crusthttp://goo.gl/kFqJI guess she really did mean 40 minutes. Guest guest
Maybe this is the one you were looking for >> Hi Dawna,> > We do this the same way just with our food processor. I process a whole cauliflower head and pour it into a pot of boiling water for 5-6 minutes. Cooked but not mushy. From there, I've thrown it into a large frying pan with oil, cut up chicken, peas, cayenne pepper and sea salt and made chicken fried rice! Pretty much any recipe that you used rice, you can use this. Even as a topping for Sheppards Pie -- blenderize it cooked until it is puree. Mix with ghee or butter and yogurt if you're at that point - makes a great mashed potato substitute!> > , mom of (ASD), age 8 To: BTVC-SCD Sent: Sun, May 30, 2010 6:01:10 PMSubject: Re: cauliflower/chicken I did find this email but the one I'm looking for takes the rice and sautes it w/chicken and some other stuff.
